New names for some of our life and pension funds

We are changing some of our fund names to either simplify the name or to better reflect the aims of the fund. The changes will commence from 24 November 2008 and will be completed by 18 January 2009.

There will be no change to:

• Fund charges, the annual management charge will remain the same
• Classification or sector for these funds, they will remain in their current ABI sector
• Fund manager

We have not written to customers individually as these are minor changes that do not affect the running of the funds. The existing and new names are shown below.

Please note: We undertake stock lending to improve the returns on your funds. This involves lending assets from these funds to another party in exchange for a fee. You still benefit from the performance of the assets, and we ask the other party to provide appropriate assets in return which we may keep if they are unable to repay the loan. There is therefore very little risk from this activity, and the fee improves the return on the funds.
